Admission
In order to become a member, you should:
- Know if you are applying for full or associate membership:
- Full members are enrolled at one of the Universities of Basel, Bern, Lausanne, or Zurich within one of the partner institutions and collect a minimum of 12 ECTS in courses offered by the IGS North-South. Full members receive the IGS North-South Certificate of Specialization in Sustainable Development
- Associate members are either not enrolled at one of the partner institutions of the IGS North-South within the four Swiss Universities, or do not want to collect the minimum 12 ECTS needed to receive the IGS North-South Certificate. Associate members only participate in individual courses offered by the IGS North-South and receive certification of every course they successfully complete
- Complete the admission:
- Most PhD candidates register with the admission form
- Only PhD candidates of the Faculty of Science at the University of Bern register with the learning agreement
- Send the admission form or learning agreement to the IGS North-South Management Centre (igsnorthsouth.cde@unibe.ch)
- Wait for the Directorate to confirm your membership
